Tanah Lot is a popular tourist spot in Bali, located about 30 km from Denpasar in tabanan regency. This temple stands proudly on a large rock facing the sea, offering stunning views, especially during sunset. The Tanah Lot area has several temples close together, including Pura Pelinggih Meru and Pura Pelinggih Ratu, each with its own spiritual significance. However, visitors cannot enter the area freely because some temples are strictly used for prayers only, so only certain people can enter.
Other than temples there are also other attractions, such as Goa Ular Suci, visitor can visit Goa Ular Suci, home to sacred snakes that are believed to protect the temple. Locals think that touching these snakes can grant wishes. In Tanah Lot there also a lot restaurant, they offer a dining experience with view of temples. there is also a coffe shop that have luwak, so visitor can enjoy luwak coffee while being surrounded by luwak. The area is also rich in Balinese culture, hosting various religious ceremonies like Melasti, Nyepi, and Galungan. These events draw thousands of Hindu worshippers from all over Bali to pray and celebrate their traditions. Not only locals Tanah Lot attract visitor from outside Bali, people come from all over the world, they come alone or in a group and usually accompanied by a guide.
